Located on our peaceful farm in Waterloo, IL — just a short drive from downtown St. Louis — this intimate and behind-the-scenes barn pass puts you face-to-face with some of the most majestic horses on Earth - the JFP Equine Clydesdales.

WHO CAN JOIN?

  1. Up to 10 participants total (just you or bring 9 of your friends/family!)

  2. General guideline for min. age is 5+ (younger allowed at parent discretion)

  3. All minors must be accompanied by at least one adult

  4. With limited space, we do not allow unpaid spectators — if you're in the barn, you're in the experience!

  5. All participants must sign an event waiver. Those under 18 must have it completed/signed by their parent or legal guardian.

    My visit to JFP Equine for a meet and greet with Clydesdales was an amazing experience. The farm is owned by Jim Poole, former manager of the Budweiser Clydesdales. His son Barclay and daughter- in- law Samantha are on hand to greet visitors and share information about the horses. On the day I went, Barclay introduced us to three of these magnificent horses. We were each able to interact with the horses and there were plenty of opportunities for pictures. Everyone was so nice and happy to answer any and all questions. Don’t hesitate to book your encounter with these gentle giants. Highly recommend.

FAQs

  • Entry into a Clydesdale ‘Backstage’ Meet N’ Greet is $25/person (max. of 10 participants per group). This includes:

    -An introduction to JFP Equine

    -45 minutes of meetin’, greetin’, pettin’ and picture takin’ with multiple world-class, JFP Equine Clydesdales

    -Learning about the Clydesdale breed with tons of ‘Gentle Giant’ fun facts

  • Each Clydesdale ‘Backstage’ Meet N’ Greet experience is approx. 45 minutes to an hour.

  • We typically use age 5+ as a minimum, but ultimately we leave it up to the parents/guardians to decide. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian (paid admission) and have their waiver completed & signed by their parent or legal guardian.

  • Yes, all participants must complete a JFP Equine waiver form prior to participation. Any participant under the age of 18 must have their waiver completed by their parent or legal guardian.

  • Our world-class Clydesdales take part in several events around the St. Louis region and beyond. They also need training and rest/relaxation days. So, our Clydesdale ‘Backstage’ Meet N’ Greet experiences can only be offered on select days.

    If you have your own group of 10, contact us for your own private CHORE TIME event on a weekend/weekday of your choice (ltd availability).

  • At JFP Equine, we focus on quality vs. quantity. Because of this, as well as the fact that we are continuously selling Clydesdales to breeders and enthusiasts across North America, we typically have between 4 and 8 world-class on site.

  • Yes, a Clydesdale ‘Backstage’ Meet N’ Greet session can be booked privately for a group of 10 or less. If you do not see a date on our website that works for your group, contact us directly at info@jfpequine.com and we will accommodate as best as we can!
